CARRIERS' 1ST GRI OF 2010 It is now almost certain that all carriers across the board will implement a GRI (some call it Revenue Recovery Charge, Bunker Fee, etc) effective Jan 15, 2010. All shipments destined to the USA will be assessed this increase. Please ask your account representative for details concerning this first round of GRI as it will have a substantial impact on your current shipping rates. ISF 10+2 Effective Jan 26, 2010 - U.S. CBP will begin to enforce the import security initiative of ISF 10+2 filing (with phase 1 of penalty assessment). Please submit your ISF power of attorney to your respective ISF filer and start those ISF filings! Failure to do so may result in severe penalty in addition to untimely delays on your ocean import shipments to the United States!
